about Yarn Worx / ONLINE STORE ONLY on Wed Mar 17 20:49:44 -0500 2010

Three weeks new. Beautiful store. Friendly staff and sit-in knitters. I met Mary, the owner; Connie and Betty today. Mary stocks lots of good workhorse yarn and beautiful frou frou yarn too. She carries notions, books, magazines. Classes are offered. She has many gorgeous hand made buttons; felted, polymer and fused glass along with some fun jewelry (not all knitting related) and inspirational gifts. I had a great time and will go back. I forgot to check the hours the store is open. I was there in the early afternoon on a Wednesday.

I love this store. Tons of great yarn and Carol and crew are always willing to help with knitting issues. A variety of great people shop and knit here making a trip to the store always a pleasant surprise.

This is a beautiful yarn store in a gorgeous location along the river in downtown Parkville, MO. You will find friendly staff, fun and interesting yarn, antiques, ideas and whimsy. Gretchen makes you feel as if you are family in her home. I always make a trip to Florilegium a priority when I am in KC. I am anxious to see what else has been added since their expansion.

Enough yarn to cause you to leave the store in a daze. Lisa, and any knitter I have ever talked to while I have been in the store, have all been extremely friendly and helpful. No question is ever a dumb question. I love all the cute gadgets and knitting related paraphernalia. I love to visit. Lisa's store is in a darling older house in Rogersville that makes me feel like I am at my Grandma's house only every nook and cranny is stuffed with yarn!! Two treasures in one. Thanks, Lisa.

about A New Yarn on Wed Jul 14 03:46:57 -0500 2010

Cute store with a tremendous selection of yarn, especially unique and fancy yarn. Staff is helpful but I feel like they really want to get an individual out the door with a yarn purchase to the point they will mislead you on the kind of yarn that would work for a specific pattern. I don't know if this is due to lack of yarn knowledge or just a desire to get one to make a purchase. A couple of other idiosyncrasies were noted. Overall a nice store.
