This is a great little yarn store. There are big comfy couches for you to relax and knit or crochet. The employees are very helpful. The store is well organized and carries a wide variety of yarns at different price points. This store serves the Lake Norman area well If you live in Charlotte, it is worth the trip to this shop.

Pros: The shop is very cheerfully painted, orderly display of yarns, large table to sit around and knit or crochet, regular group of knitters there who are very friendly and willing to help anyone who needs assistance with a project or picking out yarn. Good selection of yarn and supplies.

Cons: When I went into the store, I purchased $35 of yarn, needles and stitch markers. I asked the employee if I could knit and she said yes. I proceeded to change out my needles on an existing project to the ones I just purchased. I had a great time talking to the other knitters and even joined in helping customers. When I got ready to leave, the employee told me that I was not allowed to sit and knit again unless I was using one of their yarns! Now, normally, I could understand this comment BUT I had just spend $35 and was using needles I purchased at the store the SAME day. Plus the yarn I was using was an older version of one they had for sale. If a customer asked about my project, I would have told them to purchase the newer version of the yarn that was directly behind me. I do not consider myself a "yarn store squatter" (ie: someone who knits or crochets in a yarn shop and doesn't purchase anything) but with the way this employee made me feel, it is likely I will take my business elsewhere.
