What a selection! I was pleasantly surprised to find yarns that I have not been able to get elsewhere. The yarn that I bought was priced lower than I expected. The owner of the shop was extremely pleasant and helpful. She gave me some much needed advice. I am looking forward to my next visit to Cape Cod so I can shop here again!

We visited the Yarn Basket today, and yes.. the store is chocked full of yarn, books, needles, and supplies, in a small space. But this is a knitters paradise! I give the owner a lot of credit for being in business for 36 years and enjoying her work! As knitters, we should be grateful that someone with the knowledge has been in business this long. Shame on anyone who would leave a negative comment. We spent a lot of time in the shop looking for patterns and finished the visit, with yarn for a baby blanket and yarn for at least 6 pairs of socks. I will be going back when I am on the Cape again next year, and I will be writing a thank you note to the owner, to let her know, that I appreciate her expertise and her store!

I think that the above comments were uncalled for, this elderly lady has been in business for 36 years and has an amazing selection of yarns at the best prices that I have ever seen, In addition, she is extremely pleasant and very helpful in providing her expertise to others. She not only spends her days at her shop but then goes home and stays up all hours of the night to finish products for her customers. So let's not be so critical of someone that works so hard to provide excellent service and products!

Nothing has changed and with other customers there, it was so uncomfortable I had to leave rather than shop. Found some sock reinforcer but had to move 4 other things to get to it, not to mention picking up stuff that fell on the floor. Too much yarn for the space and too much shop for the proprietor.

This place sure is a mess! It looks like a yarn bomb detonated inside the store! Yarn is shoved everywhere, and it's all kept in its shipping packaging, but it's all labeled and priced. Once you figure out what's going on, you can see that's it's actually organized throughout the store by type of fiber and weight. The selection is good, and I got enough yarn to knit a sweater, and the prices were better than any other yarn shop I've been to in person. The first time I set foot in the shop, the woman working there seemed wary of me, but the second time, she seemed friendly and helpful.

This place was a total mess, but let me tell you I found some real nice bargains, and overall her prices were good by comparison with other yarn shops. She had a great selection of yarns, needles, books, etc.
The owner (an older lady) looked kind of tired but she really goes out of her way to help you and she knew where everything was.
Well worth visiting
