Diane is wonderful! Her shop has so much life and she is just so hospitable and helpful. Selection of standard yarns and a great selection of local hand dyed yarns. She also carries some fiber for spinning and felting as well. If you are in the area and have a sense of humor then this shop is a destination!

So glad I took time to visit Wooly Mammoth because it's a warm, friendly, albeit small shop. I especially loved the new bead store a few doors down.

The Wooly Mammoth location in Kearney, NE is closed. The shop is relocating to Omaha, NE. It's really a shame to lose such a lovely store. The customer service was excellent, as was the variety of yarn which they stocked.

Do you offer crochetting classes? If so when might they be?

I noticed that your shop is not listed among the local yarn shops on Ravelry (when searching by zip code).

I am interested in some knitting classes as well as other classes you will be offering. I amyanxious to see your new shop. I live closer then I used to so I would like to take the opportunity to participate in some of your classes. Also, I have a grandaughter very interested in art and I read somewhere you might be offering art classes. Thank You!

Great little shop, clean and organized, with good lighting and plenty of space to move around between the shelves of wonderful yarns. Decent selection and friendly service. Worth stopping in on your way across Nebraska.

I've had a wonderful time at the Wooley Mammoth. Being a visitor to Kearney, Nebraska during the winter months, it was like finding lost family in a warm, cozy colorful environment. I met super friendly locals who came to share their knitting projects, tell a good story, taste Kurt's yummy treats and learn knitting techniques from Jeanne. As a beginner knitter I didn't even feel badly about ripping out my mistakes. It gave me extra time to just hang out and get it right. :) I'll miss my Wooley family so much. Thank you Kurt and Jeanne.

Really great shop with an excellent selection and a very nice owner. It's a wonderful resource for knitters who want high quality knitting yarns in an area that's not over-burdened with shops that go beyond the general craft level.

Hi Jeanne,
I was going to start the Origami Pullover Kit that I bought & I don't know if I should knit with 1 strand or 2 strands of yarn. The pattern doesn't say so I am assuming only 1 strand but wanted to make sure before I started it.
Thank you so much!!
