The store is located in Steveston, a nostalgic refuge and historic fishing village in the southwest corner of Richmond, twenty minutes from the Vancouver airport, on the Gulf of Georgia. Take No.1 Road south of Steveston Highway, turn right at Chatham and then left on Second Avenue. We are halfway down the block on the right hand side. Park behind building if no space available. If you have little ones, I have a small children's room.

We were told by knitting buddies that when we are up in Vancouver we had to take a trip to Steveston and visit this yarn shop. I didnt say a word to the husband and wouldn't you know it but we parked right in front of the shop. He rolled his eyes but before you knew it he was sitting on that comfortable couch and chatting up a storm with lorianne about the lovely yarn and absolutely magnificent sweater the owner made for her daughter that took 4 years to complete. We had a lovely time and I was ready to leave before he was! I purchased a beautiful skein of sock yarn, dyed in Vancouver. Superwash merino for those cold winter days in las Vegas, not! But I never can resist.
If you have time while visiting Vancouver, take the time to visit.

I did not have as much time to explore as I would have liked. I really like the yarns organized by weight but I was disappointed that the book I was looking for could not be found even though it showed in inventory. That did not stop me leaving with a book I hadn't been looking for :) Hope I can come back when I have more time. There were a lot of stunning knitted garments on display. Loved the purple and orange dresses! Was is Zauberball?

Hi Diane,
perhaps it would be a good idea to correct your address on this site. Richmond, B.C. United States?

Has nice comfy club chairs for those of us who "wait".

I used to love the yarn set up by colour. Really works for me. The new, large store is a delight. So much more room with even more yarns. You cant beat the selection. Also love how they offer discount on purchases if you are enrolled in a class.

Looking for Cowichan Yarn

I note the comments made about our store being set up in colour, and want to inform knitters that we are no longer set up that way, since our expansion. The new area is completely by brand, and the old area is set up somewhat by brand, and the rest in category or weight. Thanks for having the opportunity to comment. We have a large 50% off area, as well. Diane

I agree on the comments above... only organized by color, and thats not always a good thing..

Also, note that prices on each skein go about a dollar more than what you can get in other stores.

They do have some nice samples for inspiration

wool is organized by colors. I liked it except when I am looking at a new yarn and want to see all the colors is comes in.

Lots of lovely yarns -- organized by color -- some people may like that, but I find it irritating. Always have great sample garments to drool over.
