This is my favorite yarn store. It's a house filled with rooms and rooms of yarn. It has almost any type of yarn I could want, and it stocks enough of each type and dyelot to knit a sweater. The yarn prices range from good deals to slightly overpriced - it depends on the particular yarn. My only complaint is that the yarn prices are listed on spreadsheets hanging from the walls and not directly on each skein or over each cubby. Luckily, the yarn selection is so fabulous that I can overlook this minor annoyance. The staff ranges from cheery, helpful folks to curmudgeons, but I've never had anyone be rude or snotty towards me. There's also an affectionate old cat that hangs out at the shop. I love the cat, but I guess it could be a turn off if you are allergic to cats. Overall, this shop is yarn heaven.

i have been to this store a few thins and have always been treated well. no the yarn isn't marked but just ask. it's no big deal. What is nice about the store is they ofer you all the help you need. no matter what y ou're going to have people complain/. when i've work in stores you can bet i want to get out on time. i wouldn't be happy with some one showing up at closing time. put your self in their place.

True they do have a very large selection but the fact that the yarn is not individually priced is super annoying. Sometimes the service can be good however I have been in the store on a number of occasions approx. 20 minutes before closing and have been treated very rudely by the owner and other employees. They literally have turned the lights off on me 10-15 minutes before closing. I understand wanting to leave on time but if the sign says 4:30 then the store should be open until 4:30.

Also, word of caution, the prices aren't listed on the yarn, you have to keep checking back to the lists posted on the wall. Very annoying, and make sure you know your market value for yarns. The orphanage in the back where they keep the clearance yarn is awesome, worth a look.

Fabulous selection, but sometimes overpriced. Pretty much the entire bottom section of a house, converted into one of the biggest local yarn stores you've ever been in! A pleasant husband and wife team owns the store, and the customer service is usually pretty good.
The January sale is worth the trip from almost anywhere, 40% off the entire store!
