I hope this is the store my grand daughter bought fancy wool for me to knit socks with.
I am wondering if my size 13's steel needles will be right for this FINE wool she has brought me ? I have only used Patonile before and this Noro & Ella Rae, look so fine.
The Regia more resembles Patonile. Will size 13's be right ? I am up in Melbourne.

Hello,

I'm putting together a fab funky book for teen girls Secret Girls Business out next year covering funky crafts, eco fashion etc

I'm trying to get this new generation of teens out of the malls and getting creative again.

I was in Geelong to give a talk at the library and had a quick walk into town and saw the wonderful yarn-bombing treatment of the bike in the window. Sadly I couldn't come in to talk to you as I had to rush back to get the airport shuttle.

If you had the time and energy, I'd love to feature the bike in the book and would give you full accreditation - I'd need a pic of it in a park, or somewhere like an alley, where you can get the full fabulousness of it.

Thank you for such a great shop - you're so important.

Very best Maggie Sydney

I live in Adelaide and pop into your great shop when we visit Geelong. I have bought the knitpro knitting needles when Geelong had the bike race on earlier in the year and would love to buy the double pointed needles in the roll up bag like the needles. I would be interested in some of your wool as well. Are you able to send me some information about what you stock and any pics?

Thanks T ina

The owner was incredibly friendly, taking me around the store to track down yarns on any of my descriptive whims ("something local," "aussie-made alpaca," etc). I ended up going home with some locally-dyed mohair that has knit up beautifully.

There's also a great collection of needles -- all the normal stuff, plus a wide range of Harmony knitpicks & some handmade-in-Tasmania oak needles.

There's a little round table to knit & chat, also the location for after-hours classes. I stopped in for an emergency re-stashing mid-roadtrip, and had so much fun that I regret I'm too far away to make it my LYS hangout.
