Tiny shop, even after the expansion, but WOW what a selection. Classes are priced wonderfully. The staff isn't always the friendliest, depending on who is there, but the owner is a joy to talk to while you shop. I love the focus on local yarns - that's one of the delights I find in yarn shopping, finding something local to the area, or at least the US.

While you're there, be sure to check out the Herb Shoppe, too! They have a wonderful, delicious selection of teas, among other things.

This shop may be small, but it packs a mighty punch! The stock is different from other LYS in the area and Cathy (the owner) keeps if fresh and new. Her staff is friendly and helpful. Customer service is a priority and special orders have the shortest wait time I have ever experienced. There is a space that is designated for "sit and knit" times as well as classes. She does limit seating due to its size. Classes are priced very reasonable compared with other shops in the area. A nice plus is the shop is open 7 days a week! Definitely worth a visit to Chagrin Falls!

This shop has expanded! More yarn, more seating!

This shop has expanded once again! It now has it's own space! It is located inside Step North, 100 North Main Street, Suite 230. It's literally right across the parking lot from the old location. A very bright and inviting space! She now has a separate classroom space and comfortable seating for knitter's and crocheter's. Hours have changed slightly. They are now closed on Mondays.

I enjoy the staff each and every time I visit. If you see something you must grab it or be forewarned it may not be there next time. I do like that the stock of offerings gets rotated often, but it is very hard to shop in such a small space when there are multiple customers. I liked the idea of her classes and social knitting events but it was WAY too overcrowded and stuffy. I will not be participating in them anymore until the space issue is resolved. I understand she is just starting out but it ruins my experience and I often missed tidbits because everyone is on top of each other and talking over whomever may be trying to speak or teach.

I agree with boymom...
Great shop! Although it may be small in size, the selection is wonderful! And, if you see some yarn that you like and want to make something with it, they help you find a pattern. They print up patterns for you right there on the spot!
Beautiful yarns -- most from USA companies -- most women-owned. Everything is really beautiful!
The staff is very welcoming and helpful.
This store is definitely worth the trip!

This shop has very unique yarns that you don't find everywhere! They focus on local and regional US yarns among others. I especially like that many of the yarns are minimally-processed or organic and the local alpaca yarns are beautiful. The staff are really, really nice and they help you with anything you need help with. It's really cool that they are located inside the Village Herb Shop which is another great store. So you get 2-for-1 when you shop there. The Artful Yarn has creative activities and events which are really fun too. And Chagrin Falls is a GREAT place to visit. This is a MUST SEE shop!
