If you haven't visited miss pollution at her you are certainly missing much!! She is a delight and the yarn choices and prices are great. Treat yourself to a stop and make sure you have time to chat!

If you are looking for an eclectic store this is your place! Tennessee Valley fibers is housed within a phenomenal used bookstore in downtown Chattanooga. The owner, Polly, is a wonderful, brutally honest, older woman who knows more about fiber than anyone else you will ever meet. She sells spinning wheels, looms, and fiber. Most of the yarn she sells is her own homespun. She also does her own dying, and if you are a local she will gladly teach you the art. Just remember: this is not your typical yarn store. And Polly is not your typical merchant. On other sites you will find some very critical reviews, calling Polly rude, mean and difficult to get along with. I believe those reviews are not justified. Polly is like most older adults I have known. She does not suffer fools easily. She speaks her mind with very little filter. Someone who isn't accustomed to the elderly would probably be caught off guard. I however have come to love her. If you simply take the time to listen, you will find that she is a wonderful teacher and will gladly share her knowledge with you. I urge you to take the time to find her store and spend the day with Polly.
