Hello, I am a volunteer at an intergenerational Kinship Center in the Central District of Seattle. We support relatives that are raising their relative children. This population is typically grandparents raising their grandchildren, although other relatives do step up as well as siblings and is horribly underserved. This is usually done when the parents are unable or unwilling to do so; primarily due to drug addiction. I am raising two grandchildren myself due to addiction. I am writing you looking for a donation of any yarn you may have available. Any yarn would be useful as many of our grandmas could use or continue a relaxing hobby such as knitting or crocheting. It would also enable them to pass on a time honored tradition to the children they are raising. So I was hoping you might have returns, discontinued items or some such things you could pass on (and receive a tax deduction). We are a 501c3 program.
Thank you for any considerations,

Nice little store, little being the key word, not a huge selection, but what they carry is nice stuff. Yarn/knitting is not the main focus.
