Was able to stroll around the shop and noone said a word to me. I was concerned about the very strong smell of mold and mildew, so I only looked at the yarn, not the fabrics, and left as soon as I could. There is a varied collection of yarns. I wanted the pure wool from . . . Belgium(?), but found a good acrylic blend at a much better price. This is a good resource for this location. We had driven to a yarn shop in Lake Linden, but it was "closed until spring." I would go backif in the area.

This shop has a really good selection for being in a city in the middle of nowhere. I go there fairly often, mainly for knitting notions as I will typically buy bargain yarn on the internet.
I didn't feel unwelcome, but I did feel a bit like I was intruding when I went into the store. I'm not quite sure why. It's not that the woman there wasn't friendly, but I just get a weird feeling. Perhaps it's because I'm a college student and not the typical clientele.
Anyway, I would definitely suggest the store. It's got all you'd ever need, cheaper and more expensive yarn, and I think that it's great it exists.

Found myself in Houghton with a broken needle when a friend directed me to Sew Irresistible. I was immediately greeted and they had exactly what I needed - a double pointed birchwood needle. While I was in a bit of a hurry, the selection looked quite appealing. And, as a guy, I have to say that the woman who assisted me, made me feel very welcome. Thank You!

I was in your shop today and said that I had a site called sew irrestible, I was incorrect. That site is called the sewphisticated stitcher. I am sorry about that.

Good selection - varied and thoughtful. Staff were pleasant.
