I LOVE Raspberries! Jan makes each person feel she/he is a friend and shares the treasures of her store with knowledge and enthusiasm. Her store is like treasure chest - very high quality everywhere you look! So much fun! She helped me with an old spinning wheel I was struggling with and helped me when it became apparent it was time to buy a new wheel - my Ashford Traveller, "Annie". I am so grateful to have R Studio (part of Raspberries) right here in Dunedin! I have a new circle of friends at the Thursday afternoon group - so much fun working on all sorts of fiber projects - seeing each others' creativity and having others around who know SO MUCH! Raspberries, the Group and Jan are a bright spot in my life!

Try it! You'll like it!

I've reviewed RASPBERRIES and R STUDIO in 2013, but for some reason their listing had disappeared! Why I do not know, but I suspect that this website had been hacked. This is an excellent little shop and while it's newly added classes on knitting, crochet and felting: their teachers are tops! Hopefully this 2 thumbs up review won't also disappear!

Nuno Felting Class at Raspberries in Dunedin
Have you heard of nuno felting? The name is derived from the Japanese word "nuno" meaning cloth. The technique bonds loose fiber, usually wool, into a sheer fabric such as silk gauze, creating a lightweight felt. The fibers can completely cover the background fabric, or they may be used as a decorative design that allows the backing fabric to show. Nuno felting often incorporates several layers of loose fibers combined to build up color, texture, and/or design elements in the finished fabric to make beautiful shawls, scarves, purses and much more.
Class fee and scarf $40. Additional materials available at Raspberries. Artist Marge of MOriginals by Marge will teach the class. Another Nuno felting class will be available in April.
Call Raspberries and RStudio at 727-738-1477 or e-mail raspberriesgifts@aol.com to register or for more information.

I love this store. Wonderful things there. Lots of goodies. Jan (owner) and Candy (manager) are fantastic and very creative. New line of yarns and supplies a plus.

This is a must stop into store.
