Ventured out on my own for the first time while visiting, found the shop and it was a blast! Found the yarn I was looking for and the two women who were working were very friendly and helpful. Am looking forward to living in MI full time!

I respectfully disagree with the above comments. The store is a little tricky to find but they have an amazing selection of yarns and I have always felt the staff was very helpful and incredibly knowledgable. I hear them welcome every person who enters and offer to assist them. If someone just wants to poke around the staff doesn't hover over them (thank you!) but let's people explore the shop at their leisure. I have taken several classes at the shop and have been VERY pleased with the instruction and expertise offered.
It is because of their welcoming nature, their expertise, their good selection of yarns and their help that I have become a regular customer. I have no hesitation in recommending this store to others.
If I have one 'complaint' it is that the store is not open on Sunday's. I work full-time during the week and my opportunities to get to the store are limited by my schedule. That being said, I do realize that the staff needs a break too! This is a wonderful shop worthy of a visit!

I agree! I started going there when they were in the blue house on Mill St. and I've been to their new(er) location a number of times and every time I feel like I'm intruding. Not very friendly and not very helpful. Thanks, but no thanks. I'll stick to the other yarn shop in town.

The store is a little tricky to find - but worth the trip. Interesting yarn selection - I am amazed they could fit so much into the small shop. Excellent use of space. I purchase some wonderful yarn and some sock dpns that I love.

I agree; this shop has nice stuff but the staff is not very friendly.

Sometimes it feels a little "clubby" but worth the trip nonetheless

Worth a try but lots of local folks shop otherwise, even if it is close to them. Sometimes not very welcoming to folks other than the regulars.
