I have just completed yet another unsatisfactory visit to JoAnn Fabric in Muskegon. Once again my fabric is not cut on the straight and I have, therefore, not received my total yardage. I requested that the clerk cutting the material not cut the material folded as I needed it to be straight. She said she never cut a patterned piece folded and proceeded to "eyeball" cutting the piece unfolded. She then cut another patterned piece folded. There were no checkout lanes open and one clerk at a register who refused to acknowledge my presence as she counted and marked the money in her drawer. A smile and friendly greeting such as "I will be right with you," would have gone a long way. If this were an isolated incident, I would chalk it up as a just a unfortunate experience. However, it seems that every time I go to JoAnn Fabric, I am subjected to less than friendly clerks and am always shorted on my material. I am going to look for someplace else to buy my fabric.
