Enjoyed myself today while visiting AZ I stopped here. Everyone was very nice and the sales associate made sure I knew where the locally produced yarn was located in the store when I mentioned being from out of town.

Of the Three yarn stores I visited while in scottsdale, this was by far the nicest. Everything was bright, clean, and new. Staff was friendly and helpful. Inventory included nicer fibers like mink and cashmere but was very heavy Rowan, having just about everything Rowan has to offer. My only regret is that I did not go to the other stores first. I would have spent more here. Would definitely go back. Pam

A very friendly and inviting shop. The yarn selection is diverse and the color selection is especially attractive and well-displayed. The staff is really helpful and went out of their way to make sure the cable I was buying would fit my existing interchangeable needles.

Thank you Jessica Knits.
We had another great shopping trip. Kudos for your Customer Service, Beautiful selection of Yarns, patterns, accessories too many to list.
It is certainly worth the travel from Sedona. We can't wait to visit again

My mother and I drove 40 minutes to visit this store in hopes of finally finding a LYS home. We were terribly disappointed. Mom and I enjoyed the eye-candy of the beautiful yarn (great brands and color choices!) for at least an hour. The shop was full of what appeared to be regular customers and staff. They even had a class going on in the "back" room. For that entire hour no one spoke to my mother or me. We didn't get a "hello" or even a nod. Not from a customer or a worker. I was so heartbroken. I hope to one day open my own LYS and my mother and I would have been valuable customers, but they really blew it with that visit. None of them were particularly mean...they just didn't care about our service that day.

Made the trek from CA to AZ to see if I could stand the heat in mid August. Fell in love with the shop, lost of selection, but they did hover! I applied for a job and no one could bother to get back to me??? Any way, I will be back, the yarns are beautiful and the layout is nice.

Love the selection! The knitting needle cubby/wall is my favorite place to go digging.
The service: some days great, some days not so great. If they were consistently friendly and helpful, this store would get 5 stars!
Also, the fact that they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays bugs me to no end. I somehow manage to get a craving for yarn on Monday or Tuesday ... so I end up having to go to another store.

I haven't been to Jessica's in a while, so things might have changed. The decor and yarn selection is outstanding. And that's about it. The staff hovers over you as if you were going to steal half the store. And when I went, prices weren't even marked! Sorry, I'm not asking you about the price for every skein of yarn you have.
Many of my knitting friends complain about the same issues as well as the wierd hours that don't seem to make it to the website.

I was there today because they are the only shop open on Sunday, Yarn selection is fantastic, but agree about the help, Jodi, was not helpful and followed me around. I kept wondering how she knew how much "cash" I had in my wallet?? Jessica was there and was very friendly and very busy with her regulars. I drove from Chandler and wish Jodi had been friendlier and less condescending.

Kind of agree with PP. My feelings are very mixed on this shop. I love the layout and selection, BUT the service is hit or miss. Some days the ladies are very nice and attentive, other times I have specifically asked for help and have been given half-hearted attention at best (coughJessicacough). Guess it's the luck of the draw?

I had early high hopes for Jessica's, but her shop hasn't really panned out. The class offerings are poor and never change and the shop has had severely limited hours in recent years. I'm getting the idea that she just doesn't want to work very hard. When I'm in the shop, which isn't often because of the distance, the manager is very nice, always interesting in what I'm working on, but Jessica herself seems depressed. I enjoy stopping by when I'm that far north because the shop is beautifully laid out and the yarn selection, while overpriced, is stupendous. But I don't see how Jessica's has really reached out to knitters.

My husband and I were there last summer (6/07) for business. I searched out and fell in love with this shop. FULL of great yarn varieties...excellent selection! They were VERY busy while I was there but observed some great customer service. I make a sizeable purchase and found the closing sale to be as friendly and wonderful as what I had observed for others. I REALLY hope I get the opportunity to return out west so I can visit again!

Loved this shop! Wishing I actually lived somewhere near here, but I will hit it up every holiday I am in town. Had the brand of yarn I was looking for (Malbrigo - I think that's how you spell it) I spent way more than I meant to! Highly recommended!

I was in Phoenix on business in September, and took a quick jaunt out to the upscale burbs to this shop, as it looked very nice from the website. When I pulled up - at like 12Noon - it was closed for inventory. The website said nothing about them being closed, and needless to say I was very disappointed that I could not shop.
Maybe next time...
