Some nice things, but not my personal "yarn aesthetic." I agree constantly asking about prices gets annoying to *me* even though the staff always seems cheerful and willing to look up as many as I bring them. Plus the location is a hassle for me to get to, but I suppose I could find another route if I ever go back. As in, only for the Yarn Tours. Plus it is such a chaotic lack of organization that it makes it nearly impossible to find anything. I'm sure I missed about half of what they carry because of how it's shelved.

This store has a huge selection but nothing is priced. You have to ask the clerk for the price on every single item which is headache. It's also a bit cramped. I did not get an overwhelming sense of welcome when I walked into this shop either.

Pros: Interesting selection of colored, custom-dye, and hand-painted yarns. If you are looking for something unusual, try this store. Also a great selection of button, findings, and other accessories.

Cons: Messy, hard to shop in. The balls of yarn kept falling out of the bins if you touched them. No prices on the yarns. If you want to knit a sweater, the quantity you need is not likely to be in stock. Little to no customer service.

This store needs to be cleaned and re-organized. It's in a quaint location with other nice shops around, but parking is difficult. I would shop there again, with limited expectations.

It bothers me that nothing is priced, and they seem annoyed when you ask them. They do however have good sales.

Part of the artsy feeling of this store is the riot of color from every bin. While it seems disorganized, each room in this house has a certain type of yarn, and a "regular" learns where everything is. This store is a leader in the handpainted yarn movement, and tends towards the edgy side of knitting both for function and as art. If you're inspired by color and texture this is the store for you. While the kniting needle selection is small, I've found this store to have the most comprehensive collection of buttons, closures, and purse handles around. Parking is a challenge, but worth the visit.

The store is disorganized and messy--stock is all over the place, and there is no room to walk around while planning a purchase for a project. Prices are poorly marked. One must always ask "how much?" and "do you have any more of this?"...Plus, mostly gimmicky yarn. Favored regulars and workers, who ignore shoppers, sit in a front room blocking access to yarn. As a matter of fact, I’ve gone in and out of the store without a “hello” from anyone! Every time I try to give it a chance, I leave without buying anything and the resolve to not ever go again!
