I cannot tell you how much I LOVE THIS STORE!!!! I have been there 3 times & I have no problem spending money there! The staff is friendly, high qualify selection of yarns; did I mention there have a Thursday night group event? LOVE THEM!

I remember the first time I usually go into a yarn store , the weird looks I get for being a man in the place... but here I was one of 5 guys in the store, I thought I was in the wrong place! and everyone was so helpful!! will continue to go there to get my stuff for my projects!

I had a really positive experience here both times I visited. The store was busy with customers and packed with (well-organized) yarn and tools. I found every single item on my yarn wish-list, including additional colors of yarns purchased elsewhere to add to a project. When I had a question, it was easy to find help, even though the staff was busy with many other customers. The check-out chat was great--I got information about new yarns the store was expecting soon and suggestions for shops to visit in other cities.

This is easily my favorite of the yarn shops I visited in Montreal.

Lovely store, good customer service, fabulous yarn selection - will go back again...and again...and again...

They stock Handmaiden, Drops and MadTosh - my favourite yarns, and a huge range of notions too - love my magnet chart holder and new blocking wires :)

I have to say that this is the nicest yarn store in Montreal that I've been to. Although the space is small, they have a wide selection in terms of both yarn and needles. Everything is clean and organized, and they even have a small seating area for those not obsessed with yarn to sit while you shop. They are also the only Canadian store that I've heard of that carries Sweet Georgia (!) and Habu (!!!) Needless to say, I stocked up.

I also thought the service was good. I got mixed up and showed up 20 minutes before they closed -- and right before a holiday. Even so, the staff took the time to pull some extra skeins I needed/wanted, instead of rushing me out the door.

I'll definitely be back!

This is by far and away my favourite yarn store, and I have been to quite a few. It is the ONLY yarn store in Montreal where I have been made to feel welcome. The owners are so friendly and always willing to help. I have been attending their knit nights and knit-alongs for almost two years now so I have spent a fair amount of time in the store and I have never heard anyone be told that they could not touch the yarn. I can not imagine what criteria their "desired customer base" requires, because the people that attend the knit nights and knit-alongs are as diverse a group as you could hope to see. I have seen them welcome anyone and everyone who comes into the store. I also love their yarn selection. It is always being updated so every time I go in there is something new to lust over, lol.

Previous posts are so mean-spirited and just plain false.

I have to agree with the above poster - the store looks very nice, but the staff /owners are not knowledgeable about their product, to the point of being unable to tell yarn weights apart. I have been followed around the store to make sure I didn't touch the yarn (!), was mis-sold yarn (the incorrect weight) which they then refused to refund... and overheard one customer being told (after paying for advice!) that her dropped stitch didn't matter - in stockinette! (I had to go after the lady outside and help her pick it up - it took 45 seconds in the street). They appear to only want a certain 'type' of clientele - although they'll be incompetent with anyone, they'll be unwelcoming to those who don't fit their desired customer base, and I have spoken to other knitters who would rather drive to Ottawa and go to the yarn stores there than spend their yarn dollars in this particular store. Sad, as we're all the type to support local businesses, but really, there's only so much you can do.

This store is such a shame: yes, they have a gorgeous selection of yarns, but the two owners are hardly experts. If anything, they will (and have) say just about anything to sell their yarn, even when it doesn't fit your project. Indeed, they deliberately misled me on one occasion so that I would buy their yarn, even though they didn't have what I was looking for. I know several people who have also had similar negative experiences when it comes to customer service and receiving so-called "expert" advice. I find this so sad as this store has great potential, but it's just wrong to screw customers over the way they have.

I was delighted by the happy energy in the store when I visited. Knitters working on projects, getting advice and winding yarns...what more is a yarn store about? I loved the interesting variety of yarns, the charming offers of help and welcome, and the assurance that they would be going online over the summer so even if I wasn't back visiting in Montreal any time soon, I could still see what yummy stuff they were selling.

I'd love to visit again!
