Update from first review in 2010: Another fantastic shop at the 2014 Rose City Yarn Crawl. I love Dublin Bay. This is my favorite shop to visit in Portland. So many beautiful yarn selections. Lovely books, a great sitting area and of course during that weekend Downton Abbey was playing!! What more could you ask for. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I'm from Eugene and a day trip to Dublin is very worth it. You won't be disappointed. If you are looking for scrumptious yarn this is the place.

Visited them recently on the 2011 PDX Knit Crawl! My sister and I visited all twenty stores in two days! They were a little hard to find parking at with the construction going on, but I'm sure that will be a thing of the past soon.
They had so many fibers that I just wanted to straight up roll around in. An amazing collection of yarns that were unlike most seen in the Portland area, and great service even though we came in just short of closing time. They had what looked like a comfy seating area, and were so welcoming to the drowned rats we must have looked like. I give them my "Most unique yarn selection" award. Seriously, if you want a yarn that few others will be sporting, head on down and enjoy.

Ordered online and received yarn with wonderful newsletter and excellent service. Would definitely order again. I had visited the store in person the end of May when I was in Portland and the store has a good general selection and helpful staff.

Dublin Bay carries a number of high quality yarns that I haven't seen anywhere else in Portland. It's an inviting shop with friendly staff.

Love this store! Went with Sunflowercompass and Beemergirl for the Yarn Crawl. This is my second visit to Dublin and cannot say enough about the fantastic selection of beautiful yarn and supplies. Definitely coming back again and again. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.
Thanks Dublin folks!

Fantastic store-GO THERE! Folks SO helpful, and the yarns are spectacular. I saw things I had only read about-visiting is an eye-opener and an educational experience, too!

This store is fantastic for fleece artist and handmaiden yarns. It's such a pretty store too. They are very friendly and you are free to browse as you will. I love their nice selection of british wools.

A return visit nine months later (I live 2 hours away) reminds me how much I like this place! The beauty, selection and organization keep me coming back!

this is my store, i buy all my yarn and patterns from Dublin Bay, and i live in southern California. I am always in contact with Tricia and Jenny. They have all the beautiful yarns you would wish to work with...they are the only ones on the West Coast that carry Traditional yarns that i love and knit with. Tricia and Jenny are the loveliest and most helpful girls to talk to over the phone and my yarns/patterns are always wound and sent post haste. i could go on and on....

It's always so quiet when I go into Dublin Bay, which makes me sad because it's such a beautiful store. They seem to have really made the effort to carry a lot of yarns that you can't get anywhere else, especially in the luxury category. I only wish I could afford to buy them more often...

a very comfortable yarn store, homey and inviting. my husband even liked it, picking out several yarns without me having to urge him. the clerk was very nice as well, i'll definitely be back.

Spent some time here with SunflowerCompass. If I lived in Portland, I can visualize spending tons of time here just soaking up the comfort. Great place!

Went with Beemergirl on our tour of Portland knit shops. We were impressed! It is located in a real up-and-coming part of town. The variety of wool offered is fabulous and very well organized! We especially liked all the knitted sample garments demonstrating the patterns and feel of the yarn. They have unique sweater kits we've never seen in other shops and for those of you with dogs, this shop is located across the street from an off- leash dog park so both you and your pooch can have a great time!

I love this store. The service is wonderful and the people are friendly. Most stores ask you to purchase their yarn in order to knit there and or use their winder, not here. I love the openness, selection, and fantastic services.

This place is great, two blocks from where I work. Good thing that their store hours and my work hours (I work graveyard shift)don't coinside otherwise I would be in deep "sheep" doo-doo

Really great selection, especially of buttons and pins! Super awesome really friendly staff too. Little confusing to get to if you don't know the area, but worth the trip!

I love this store. The selection is fantastic, the atmosphere is casual and kicked back and the staff want to help--but don't hassle you into making a purchase.
Very friendly and super chill and very helpful.

Yes, I'm biased since I just started working at DB, but you really must check it out if you like unusual yarns from Ireland, the UK and Canada. There's a great selection of Jamieson's, RYC and, of course, the Handmaiden & Fleece Artist.
