CLOSING! Last day is 8/8/15. This has been the best yarn store anywhere for ten years. What a huge loss for knitters. Just goes to show that you had better buy all you can while you can.

I try to go to a yarn store (or two or three) when I travel, just to see the local selections. This place is wonderful! The owner is very nice and willing to help you or just let you wander on your own. The selection is wonderful and had so many things I wish I could have. Walked away with some great yarns.

What a yarn selection here! The shop is huge and so is the variety of yarn. The owner and staff were fun to talk to and very knowledgeable. I enjoyed getting their opinion on yarn and patterns. The projects on display are inspiring. My yarn purchases were wound into cakes for me while I shopped. This store is a real treat!

I have been in yarn shops all across the US including NYC. This store is far and away the very best shop I have every been in. The selection is phenominal. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The only problem is that it is so far away from home. If we are passing through during business hours, we always stop by. And even though my stash rivals most shops, I always leave with a full bag and a happy heart!

Fantastic shop! It is quite beautiful inside and out and they are always expanding! I always find something new in shop, and I visit about once a month. It's the best yarn shop I've been to, and I have visited quite a few yarn shops in the SouthEast.

This is a very nice shop. They have moved from the address listed above. The former store has directions to the new shop or you might call. The new shop is not far from the old shop & easy to find. I followed the directions from the Macon by pass and it would have been more direct from I75. Other than that this is worth the stop however you get to the shop. I could have stayed much longer but we were on vacation. The staff is very friendly & helpful, but if you just want to look they give you plenty of space, there is a wonderful selection of yard and anything else you might need or want. The next time I'm in Macon I will work a little extra time into the schedule to stop here again.

We were driving through Macon and stopped at this shop. Could not have asked for nicer people. And the selection ... wow! My husband was even happy to wander around the store while I picked out some yarn and a pattern to work on during our trip. If driving through, be sure and stop in. If you live in area - this should be your LYS! I know it would be mine :)

I cannot say enough good things about this store. The selection rivals any yarn shop in Atlanta or DC, both with the selection and variety of yarns as well as the available needles and notions. But of course, what is substance without personality and this store has plenty of it. I have been in over a dozen times since I moved here a few months ago and EVERY time I have been greeted by friendly and genuinely warm people. Once, a salesperson entertained my four-year-old while I perused the wonderful yarns. What more can you say about that?! If you are in the area, this is a treat you should not miss.

I have been knitting for about 10 years now, and have visited many knitting stores across the US and UK ... and I have to say that this is the best yarn selection I have ever seen in person. The prices seem competitive -- can't beat ebay or some great trades on Ravelry of course, but it is always good to buy from the LYS from time to time. It looks like they have some great classes too. If I lived anywhere close, I would be here all the time. But instead I only have family in the area, so I will make sure I stop by when I am in the area.

I finally got to visit Creative yarns this past Saturday. I was amazed at the size of the store and the selection they had. I found exactly what I was looking for (double pointed bamboo needles in size 11) that I couldn't find at Hancock Fabrics or Hobby Lobby. I will surely visit again soon!

Seven of us from our knitting group made the trip (hour and a half) to Creative Yarns last fall. When we walked in and told them where we were from, we were immediately shown the rest room, the coffee and tea, and a place to sit down. It was such a beautiful store. I got to touch some yarns for the first time that I had only seen in magazines and online. As impressive as the yarns were, I was even more impressed by the service. These people love what they do and it shows. They were so hospitable to our large group and when we wanted to take a group picture before we left, they sent someone over to snap it for us. This is a fabulous store and I highly recommend it.

I make a point to visit yarn shops when I travel. This is far the best I have seen and it is close to home. Christy and her staff go out of their way to know their customers and help however they can. There is always someone to sit and visit with while you knit. Wonderful yarn displayed beautifully with lots of projects. This is one store you don't want to miss!
