Re: comment by "Annie" above.

Customer left phone messages for us but without an answering machine on her end we could not leave messages and she was not there to answer the phone when we tried to call her. We kept trying but she never seemed to answer her phone.

She expressed frustration about not being able to place an order because of the date issue. When she emailed a week later we were able to finally reach her using her email address. Turned out she was trying to place an order indicating that the expiry date was the 14th month which of course doesn't exist!

When she finally ordered, we advised that mail runs a little slower for packages shipped a couple of days before Christmas because of the holiday traffic but she felt the post office should have delivered it faster than the time we advised her when she ordered. When the post office got back to us they confirmed that the package had been delivered.

They've got a lot of really neat, classic yarns, but the service could definitely use an upgrade. Their on-line form wouldn't take an expiration date beyond 12/31/2010 when I first tried to place an order 12/14/2010. Three subsequent telephone messages left (long-distance: no 1-800 numbers) remained unanswered until I sent an email notifying them that I'd be placing the order elsewhere on December 21st. THEN, and only then did I receive an email. I placed the order and asked that they use express shipment to mail the yarn to me. Well, it's 12/29/2010, and I still haven't received it. When I told them so via email a few days ago, the proprietor (I guess) told me she'd check with the Canadian postal service but hasn't gotten back to me. Moreover, their website now says they're closed until Monday, January 3, 2011. Very unpleasant experience. There are many, many other knitting suppliers out there on the Internet. I won't use this one again.

Excellent Yarn Store for Knitters. They carry Mission Falls, Lopi, Jamieson's Shaetland, Peace Fleece, Manos del Uruguay and Fleece Artist among others. What I like is they carry every colour and not just one or two skeins. You can get enough of almost any yarn/colour to knit a sweater which means a lot of stock. Lots of books and every size of Addi Turbo as well. Well worth the drive to Orangeville.
