I went to this store because it was highly recommended on this site. I live about 40 min away, parking is hard, and it was hot. I was excited to walk into the type of atmosphere I have come to expect at knit shops. Warm, friendly, attentive. However, that is NOT what occurred.
When my sister and I arrived, (she came in from Cleveland, OH btw) there were three people in the store and two dogs. We were not acknowledged at all. Not a hello, not a nod, nothing. I walked past these people twice, and again no acknowledgment of my or my sister's presence. Even when my sister called to me from the other side of the small shop and said, "Check out this yarn, this would be great for those socks." There was nothing said to us.
It was at that point that we mutually agreed to walk out and not return.

This store is located in a building with a bunch of other stores, and is relatively small. They have the best selection of Malabrigo yarn I've ever seen, because the owner asks for anything they can send. The rest of the selection was hit and miss. There was a significant amount of stuff I had never seen before that was weird and wacky and interesting. (Glow in the dark yarn!) The woman there was a lot of fun to talk to as I browsed. I'd definitely visit if I was ever craving some Malabrigo.

As a sock knitter, I have to say the sock yarn selection is limited to only a few brands. But there is a variety of interesting yarns of all kinds... including some very interesting recycled yarns I had never seen before.

A good basic shop! Very bright and happy. I will be going back.

Also sells potholder looms and loops for those.

The selection isn't as extensive as some might want however the customer service more than makes up for it. Any question you have are answered so you can understand them with patience. Rebecca has also offered to order and deliver items if necessary. It is a great place to go and learn.

Rebecca took me from my first cast on to my first lace. All questions - in person or over the phone - were answered very pleasantly. She even explained adjusting a pattern to match my gauge over the phone on my second project and the sweater fit! Yarns, books, ideas for all skill levels.
