While visiting the area in mid-December 2012, I had the pleasure of visiting this shop. This is a lovely shop, nice selection and helpful staff. I only wish I had a shop this nice closer to my home in Northern California. I did not find the staff snobby or unfriendly at all. They were great!

I live extremely close to this shop but due to their snobby attitude and unfriendly vibes, I will drive anywhere in the Ventura County, Los Angeles County, Orange County and anywhere else where my business is appreciated.
Fortunately I have a new hybrid so I can drive far without worry. :-)

I live nowhere near this place, but manage to find myself in Long Beach for rowing and social events. Everytime I'm in the neighborhood I try to stop by. The shop is wonderful, great staff, AWESOME selection of yarns, and a truly inspiring array of samples. I can't recall a single visit where I left empty handed! Definitely a place to visit if you're ever in Long Beach!

I've been shopping and taking lessons here for a year. I've learned a lot. They have a beautiful selections of yarns, great teachers, and nice staff to help with questions. It's my favorite yarn shop.

Sweet location, right on the bay with great restaurants nearby. Cute shop, well stocked but tightly packed. Clean and well organized. Pleasant service everytime I've been in.

Yarn selection is great, but customer service is non-existent. I have never been greeted or asked if I needed assistance, even when I was standing at the counter with items to purchase! I wish a friendlier yarn shop was in my neighborhood.

Wow - I always feel welcome at ABYC. Cindy and Judy, the owners, are very helpful and everyone there has gone out of their way to answer questions and make suggestions. The shop is spotless and well-organized, and I always find something to inspire me. I have been a regular customer since they opened and it is my favorite shop.

Yikes - I had the worst experience at this store. The staff was really only interested in waiting on a woman who was on the Carol Burnett show - I can't remember her name but have seen her at the LBYC. I like to support local crick and mortar business but no way with these women.

Customer service is one of the worst I've experienced. I was in the store looking at all the wonderful yarn for 2 hours and was not approached for assistance by anyone. While there I overheard the ladies there rudely comment on other customers as they came and went. That included the customers that spent a fair amount of money on their purchases. Nice yarn, but not worth the arrogant attitude or snobby atmosphere.

Sadly this store doesn't understand the concept of the customer. They are unfriendly, bordering on rude at times. Very puzzling. Nice yarn, but I'd stay away.

Very well organized store with nice selections and displays. Customer service was a little lacking. I was there for 30 minutes and no one asked if I needed assistance or seemed to acknowledge me. There were some other customers milling around too, but not all were at the register during that time, and it seemed that they had 3 at least 3 staff people there that day.

Stopped by while visiting my husband's family. I truly wish I had a store like this near me - there was a drool-worthy selection plus what appeared to be a great selection of classes.
