About tonks
Tonks, so named for her naturally pink hair, has a serious yarn fetish and will covet all fibers possible simply to have them in her home. Growing up in Wisconsin with her Equally Fabulous Mother taught Tonks to appreciate knitwear at a young age, though she is loath to knit hats and socks. She turned her abundant love of yarn into a business catering to the underground scene, and now spends her time writing and knitting in West Palm Beach and Washington DC., traveling when the wool is too warm for the Florida sun. i just came home from visiting this shop for the first time. this is, hands down, one of the best shops i have seen in a very long time. the owner (pam) is fun, friendly and very helpful. the selection is top notch, and not a single ball of yarn suffered from "single ball syndrome". it's truly wonderful to see both the classic staples, such as cascade 220 and lamb's pride, as well as fancier mixes such as artyarns, malabrigo and much more. i will be back again and again, even though i live two hours away!
