I am so impressed with Needles in the Hay. They have completed their first year of business and they have done an excellent job. Bridget (yarn mistress / proprietor) keeps a wide selection of yarns which she rotates.

She has a wide variety of classes and is willing to help you when in need. It is a real pleasure being in her store and I strongly recommend this shop to anyone!

I buy a lot of my spinning fibre from The Black Lamb and have been pleased with every business transaction. Laurie is very honest and knowledgeable. As for scrappyknits comment, I can't imagine Laurie speaking harshly unless perhaps the kids were having problems keeping their hands to themselves.

Even though I have moved from Toronto, Creative Yarns is such a good shop. Nina is very knowledgeable and I love her philosophy that mistakes are not mistakes, just a new pattern.

Always comfortable she encourages her customers to stay and knit for awhile by offering tea or coffee. The selection of yarns / needles is a nice variety. All in all a store that I would suggest to anyone in her area of Toronto.

I went into this store after wanting to go for months and it was a big flat disappointment! There were no places to sit and knit. A spot to sit was grudgingly offered to me which by that point it was to late. My in-laws live out in Wilmont Creek and when asking about the regular knit night, it didn't seem like that yes they had them but I got the "but you wouldn't be welcome" after thought.

All in all, a very unpleasant store experience in which I will not be repeating. Maybe her Bownmanville clients are used to it but I were to live in the area I would be driving further to get to a more welcoming store.
