There is no such thing as "a quick run to the knit shop". Once I get there, 5 minutes away, my blood pressure drops and I just want to stay. Colors, textures, hospitality, charm, and so many knitting possiblities that it boggles the mind. Yarn, needles, notions, books, and instruction when you need it. Lisa wants us all to enjoy the experience. Boy, do ya!

The husband and I detoured to Winterset strictly for this shop. We were warmly welcomed, helped just right and enjoyed the atmosphere. The owner proudly showed us local grown, spun, and dyed materials. She shared with us their upcoming Fiberpalooza event info. next March. Addicted to sale yarn, I was quite happy with the selection on those shelves as well as a really terrific ball of changing color yarn I picked up with which to make shoelaces.

By the way, this is John Wayne's hometown...little bitty house for such a largish fella. Oh! And there are some pretty terrific bridges in the area. Spouse loved the old courthouse, and walking around the town square.
