The selection in the store is very big but they sell mostly acrylic yarn. Wool lovers might get disappointed... Prices were low and service very friendly.
This is one of my favorite handicraft shop in Tampere! It's in the third floor of Koskikeskus. They sell all sorts of haberdashery, including lovely, lovely wool. The selection is pretty good and service very helpful. The only drawback is that because the shop is quite small it gets crowded easily.
I like this place: they sell handicraft and Finnish design upstairs and wool downstairs. Their selection is limited to only few brands but what they have, they have in all the colors between heaven and earth. :)
This is one of my favorite wool shops in Tampere. Their selection is very good and staff is very helpful and nice. What else to say... well, when things work that well, I guess the next step would be to pay a visit and see for yourself. ;)
I haven't bought anything from here. The place is very small and unorganized. I just never now what to look and how to look through all that mess. However, they seem to have nice wool there and you might find something really good if you're ready to pay the effort to spend some time looking.
Anttila sells mostly Novita yarns but I think their selection is still pretty good. If I had to choose from Anttila and Sokos in Tampere, I would definitely buy my Novita from Anttila.
They sell only Novita wool and their selection is quite narrow.
This is definitely my new favorite in town. Their selection is amazing: everything from Rowan to Schoppel Wolle, TeeTee to Sandnes and needles from KnitPro, Addi... etc. The service is also very nice and helpful. I feel very comfortable about going there again and again.
