This is like the Mecca of yarn! Amazing selection. Could browse for hours exploring. Huge book/magazine selection. Also sells wheels and looms. Lots of classes. A wonderful "knit-in" every summer.

Nice shop. Some staff bit stiff and unfriendly. Parking is on-street metered.

Amazing selection of yarn. You can browse without being bothered or followed around... staff is almost aloof (or usually sitting at the table knitting). Great light, great "baby" yarn selection. Amazing Galway & Encore colorway availability.

Small store. No seating or classes, but owner very helpful. Good selection, but lots of novelty yarns.

about Labadie Looms on Fri Oct 24 17:47:44 +0000 2008

Interesting shop. Has been expanding yarn selection recently. Also sells weaving/spinning/dying/rug hooking/felting supplies. Lots of classes. Hand-dyed yarns by the shop owner, as well as fibers spun/dyed by local artisans. Also sells local Amish made FINE crafts (not the hokey tourist stop crap). Great shop to get lost in! Located near alot of the touristy points of interest, as well as many fabric stores for those who may be into sewing or QUILTING.

Located in an interesting little shopping village which resembles a German village. Small. Good amount of acrylic. Very friendly and helpful owner.

In a residential neighborhood, and somewhat hard to find. Store located in finished basement of owners home. You park in the driveway, but I've heard that's recently been expanded. Good selection, including a 'bargain basement' area. Has a few toys for the kids to play with if you bring them to give you more time to browse!

New location at 313 No. Franklin St is bright and airy, with a big table where one can sit and knit/crochet. It's a great shop with friendly salespeople and lots of local yarns as well as "nationally available" stuff!
