There is a treasure-trove of all kinds of yarns, back-issue magazines, patterns, books & notions in this interesting shop with cubbyhole rooms where you can lose yourself in all things knitting. The staff is very helpful & friendly.
This shop has everything you could want, or they will order what you need. There are many locally produced yarns available. The owner is very knowledgeable & eager to help. The shop is tiny, but there is still enough space to sit & knit & talk.
This shop is housed in a quirky addition to a home right on Lake Superior, with views from the second floor balcony that can't be beat. There is so much yarn in this store that you think she must have every brand & color on the planet. There are also books, magazines, patterns & notions. There is also a sweet little Yorkie shop dog who may crawl in your lap if you happen to sit on the floor to search the lower shelves. I only found one problem with the shop, and that was the entrance through a former garage that smelled musty & damp. There were back-issues of knitting magazines there, which I thought was not a good place to display them in the damp. Once through this area, however, everything was fresh & clean.

Yarns are displayed throughout the living room, and books are jammed into built-in book shelves, as well as piled everywhere else. A rear room has carousels of magazines, shelves of notebooks full of patterns, as well as more yarn. In the very back is a series of long tables used for classes. The owner is very knowledgeable & helpful.
This shop has a huge selection in a tiny space. More than 4 people can hardly fit among the shelves and carousels of yarns, but it's worth pushing yourself through to find the beautiful yarns she carries.
