Yes, it can be overwhelming, but as everyone points out, the selection of everything is amazing. I find the sales staff varies in warmth and interest. The older man who runs the discount store was amazing, and put me in a great mood, and clearly wanted to help customers find the best deals, and the best quality of the bargain yarns. I did get asked twice if I needed help finding anythign, when navigating the main floor, and didn't mind the fact that they were busy and it was a bit chaotic, but found the woman manning the cash register to be rather cold and disinterested.
Overall lovely place, and I will definitely return each time I'm in town.

The staff was wonderful the day I went in. I'd spent an entire day hitting up the LYS of Toronto, and although it was small, and I didn't think I was going to find anything I needed (just drool over the things I couldn't afford), I mentioned a project I had been trying to find yarn for, and she immediately led me to wonderful, incredibly well priced yarn that I hadn't even noticed!

My favourite store in Ottawa. Huge selection of discounted luxury yarns, and all around great prices.

Despite a huge selection, I find myself uninspired and frequently leaving without much. Some of the staff are very nice, but several seem to be a bit devoid of humour and personality, which leaves me not wanting to return.

Prepare yourselves for luxury, and bring a bib along to soak up the drool! Tons of luxury yarns, in a shop with a nice cozy feel. Lovely owner and staff who can both help you when you need it, but let you browse on your own as well.

I had a great experience here when I visited in October. Very friendly staff. Incredibly beautiful yarns oozing from every nook and cranny, a nice combination of big name yarns and indie hand-dyers. If only I could have bought more! I will definitely return next time I'm in Montréal with yarn money!
