I stop into Coastal Yarns on every trip to Cannon Beach (1-2 times per year). The staff is friendly and helpful. My primary reason for stopping there is to check out Blue Moon Fiber Arts yarns and colorways in person. They have a great selection to drool over!

I am lucky to have FNC as my local yarn shop. Like Pat said, Michele keeps the store well supplied with a good variety of quality yarns. Some of the newer, trendier yarns can't be found there, but Michele is always happy to get feedback and takes suggestions into consideration. She also carries local fibers for spinning, which I really appreciate.

The shop's web site is terribly outdated, but I believe that plans are underway for a complete overhaul. Most of her business is local anyway, so the web page is not a big deal to me, but it might bring in more visitors who were coming through town if the website better reflected the quality of the physical shop.

Come by for a visit and check it out!

A wonderful shop in a weird location! The owner is very friendly, and I try to stop in whenever I am out at the coast. Great selection of yarn for Fair Isle and other color work. I don't think she carries Blue Moon fibers any longer, but the selection is still vast. Don't miss it!

There's nothing else like this store around - go try it out! I had a blast creating my own yarn.

I found this LYS while on vacation in Linville, NC. My family made a stop there for me while we were on our way elsewhere, and I am glad that we stopped! I got there about ten minutes before closing, and the owner was nice enough to let me browse around a bit after she closed. She had a very nice selection of yarn - I was impressed. Since I was looking for a local product - souvenir! - I bought some Miss Babs hand-dyed merino/silk top and some hand-dyed wool/cotton yarn. I love it! I highly recommend this shop if you ever visit Boone, NC.
