Flying Fingers is a wonderful store to visit. Elise, the owner is so friendly and knowledgeable about yarn. The store is stocked with interesting and unique yarn. This is a go to store every time I start a new project.

This store is definitely not a place I like to visit. The staff has a big attitude, unfriendly and not helpful at all. I also think they mark up the retail price of a lot of the yarn.

I knit every day. I have been to many yarn stores in the area. This is one store I do not recommend.

Knitty City is wonderful. The store stocks beautiful yarn. The owner Pearl, is so friendly and helpful. She is also tuned in to everything in the knitting world (e.g. design, designers, current events, etc)

If you are in New York City and only have time for one knitting store, Knitty City should be your choice!

I noticed that the store marks up the retail price of most yarn by a large margin.
