I have visited this one a couple of times as it is near my Mother-in-law. (I live in Surrey) It has a massive selection of yarns. Not sure how long it will last as the owner may be retiring soon but it is chocka with old stock. "My husband always used to tell me to clear them out" That is why I went there as I am Rowan fan and so are they and they had old stock so I was able to get yarn for Brandon Mably's Plains sweater.

I have been shopping here for loadsa years but usually by mail order. The staff are great and very helpful and will fill out my order just by reference to the page in the (usually) Rowan magazine - my bookshelf is heaving with them! Can't comment on the atmosphere (do I hear a song coming on - Can it be Russ Abbott?!) as I have only visited it a couple of times.

My sort of wool shop and near enough to work for me to walk. The only one that is.
