HCW is a must visit shop, whether you're from out of town or local. Take some time to really look around and soak it all in. Everything from Needle Felting to Weaving to Crocheting to Knitting to Spinning, they will take care of you!
The store is a decent shop. The owner is a little too gossipy about other customers and it made me feel uncomfortable.
I recommend visiting this shop if you're in the area! The owner is very kind and they have a wonderful selection of spinning wheels. I bought my Kromski Sonata here. My favorite thing about this shop was all the locally produced fibers and dyed yarns that they had available!
I *love* Gauge. It is a very clean and very organized (by gauge, of course!) shop. If you know what you want to make, it's a very quick trip in there to look for the right yarn! They have a book lending library and they have a collection of the sweetest people that go to their knit-in's. (Also, they get in little fancy treasures every now and then, such as Madelinetosh Sock!)
This shop is fantastic. The woman who keeps it is so sweet and she has such a wonderful collection of yarns- from locally handspun fibers to Kauni Effectgarn. If I lived in the area, I would definitely make a trip to visit regularly!
Knit Happens is a wonderful store! The staff is so sweet and knowledgeable, and the shop has a vast selection of yarns in a bright, cheery, open windowed shop. When I get to Arizona again, I am definitely dropping in again!
