This is a no-frills shop, but they have a lot of different yarns, and there are usually some great bargains to be found in the back room.

This is a small shop, but they have an amazing variety of yarns, particularly hand-dyed. Lisi and her staff are very friendly.

Sit 'n Stitch expanded into knitting about 4 years ago, and they now have a fairly wide selection of yarns, from Cascade 220 to scarf yarns and even qiviut!! A friend says it's a good place to take classes: she's working on her first socks. I find it cramped and crowded, though the staffer who helped me recently was quite friendly and knowledgeable.
