The Lamb Shoppe is PHENOMINAL!
Everything you wanted in a yarn shop and then some. I can't think of anything that I would want added to the place.
Classes, tools, equipment, books, magazines, Espresso machine, plenty of non-crowded seating, and more.
Crocheters are welcome.
The owners and staff are so very helpful, and really do go above and beyond. Got a question, stumped, the customers, or staff will gladly give you a hand.
There is an ice cream shop next door, and next to that is a bakery, and across the street is a Domino's, and another pizza place. Drug store next to that, if you have a hankerin' for something to snack on.
Cold drinks are avaliable in the refrigerator, and they are more than happy to make you your favorite espresso drink.
The atmosphere and ambiance are better than home--no spouses or children to interrupt you!
The layout of the store just asks you to wander around.
Let's not forget the window displays--too cute, and changed often to keep your interest. Great job there!!!
I can't recall seeing customers leave annoyed, or upset--except for the fact that they have to leave the store. And maybe being upset that the store isn't closer to where they live, so they could visit it more often!
Many people come from around the country (and world--I know of Australians who regularly come), to just visit and get in some good visitin' and shoppin'.

Made on Sun Jul 20 12:18:44 -0700 2008 about Strawberry Tree

I thought Strawberry Tree was good.
It's a bit tricky to find (hidden away in the corner of the strip mall and all).
The store feels a bit "crowded." LOADS of yarn all over the place, I was a bit overwhelmed. Some chairs and a table to sit at and knit/crochet, but it's cramped.
Service is WONDERFUL! They are more than willing to help you in whatever you need.
A bit minimal (from what I could see), about tools and equipment for crocheting, better for knitting.
It's been a few months since I was there, for some reason, I am thinking that the store lighting was not quite enough--I really, really could be wrong in this impression, but that is what I'm thinking...
Overall, I would say a nice place--more space would improve the "atmosphere," in my opinion.
