This is one of the truly great yarn stores. The have a lot of space, very full of great yarn. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful and they have great classes. They even offer knitting tutoring with a Master Knitter!

This is a cute little shop in Old Town Alexandria. The selection is limited, but good. They have lots of Rowan yarns, and the staff is very helpful!

This little shop in a house is a nice spot to drop into if you are in Fredericksburg. They have quite a good selection, but they seem a bit reluctant to help.

This location of Stitch DC does a lot with a tiny space. They are so small that the selection has to be limited, but the yarns that they have are to die for! This is a very cool and funky shop!

This is a nice shop in a strip mall. The owner is very knowledgeable and helpful. I would not hesitate to send a knitter with a problem to her!

This is one of the truly great shops. There is a coffee house attached on one end and the rest of the store is jammed full of the best yarns. I love to spend time there when I am in Portland!
