OK selection. Was a bit put-off by staff b/c they were eating something kind of...strong smelling and talking about personal things quite loudly. Was finally helpful after I'd been searching through their sock yarn for about 10 min. Didn't seem in any rush to help.

I make a trip to Purl whenever I'm visiting the fam back home. Love their wall of koigu with a passion. Everyone is helpful and kind. Kind of like the cute little-ness of the shop. Floor to ceiling yarn is an awesome thing to behold. Was searching for a discontinued rowan colorway and the girl who was helping me got up on a step ladder and was literally digging through the yarn and checking every label. Love this store!

I wish that I had more time to shop at this store! I was with a group of friends and we were on a tight schedule, so unfortunately, I didn't get to really enjoy and browse as I would have liked. I'm trying to find a website so I can see when their classes are. I really liked this store and want to go again! Unfortunately, I live 1.5 hrs away in Greenwich. *sigh*

I really love having a knitting store so close to me! Knitting Niche has beautiful yarns. Very high quality and high-end. It can be quite pricey, but they have great sales and I can always get the not-so-fabulous everyday yarns online. It's wonderful to be able to touch and feel and see the beauty of tilli thomas' swarovski beaded silk or the WALL of cashmere.

Was one of their 1st customers. Lived in Nyack at the time and was waiting with bated breath for their opening. The staff was not uber-friendly, but they were indeed helpful. I liked it enough! Now my dad will stop in and buy things for me if he's on his way for a visit, etc. Now that I'm back in the metro area, I may take a trip over the Tappan Zee to see how it's changed!
