The store is just one room, and, at first, seems to have not much in it. However, browsing around, I found a little bit of everything! There were all kinds of yarn weights, which was great, because I was looking for lace and sock weight yarns. This place carried solid-color sock yarn, which earned it a big plus from me. Overall, solid colored, non-novelty yarns seemed to predominate, which was, again, a plus as far as I'm concerned.
The store had a nice and varied selection of fibers, from wool to cotton to bamboo to corn to porcelain to alpaca to acrylic. There is also a solid selection of needles, notions, and books/booklets.
Finally, the store's owner was very helpful, but unobtrusive. Overall, it was a pleasant yarn-buying experience.
This store is very cramped and small, which I didn't like. They also tend to carry way too much novelty yarn for my tastes and not enough solid-colored natural fibers. I didn't see much laceweight yarn, and they only had one kind of sock yarn (self-striping). I was disappointed. The ladies there are quite helpful, though.
This is one of the most disorganized stores I've seen. Yarn is piled onto shelves by type, yes, but just because there's a shelf of worsted-weight wool by Plymouth here, doesn't mean that the adjacent shelf will be worsted, wool, or Plymouth. There's half-empty bags of yarn lying on the floor everywhere, too. The messiness isn't crucial, but a bit off-putting because it's hard to find things.
Also -- and this is a deal-breaker for me -- there was no laceweight yarn in the store besides the mohair varieties.
