I loved this LYS when I visited -- the staff was very helpful and very kind. The owner/manager (?) was working a spinning wheel when we came in, and she showed the small children in our party how it worked, and gave them each a small piece of handspun. They were duly impressed.

Great store, great staff, great stuff.

Excellent customer service -- the store stocks Rowan and Jaeger things, as well as some Liberty fabric and buttons. The staff also have a sock yarn hobby club and that club sells Addis and sock yarn from the US. Great store.

Selection and service are excellent -- if you ask for help, they are right there by your side if you need them, and they are happy to let you roam as well. The shop is a bit hard to navigate the first time because it is just SO overwhelming -- there is SO much yarn here! Selections of particularly popular yarn (koigu, misti alpaca, cascade, etc) are excellent.

Great place to find things, but service is rather hard to come by if the place is busy. There is no atmosphere to speak of, but things are arranged nicely enough, and prices are clear and it's easy to manage. A good place to go for a very good selection of both excellent import, excellent domestic, and also "less excellent" stuff.

Note: fall and winter are the best months to shop -- in summer, not many Japanese are knitting, so there is much less yarn. In March there is a good sale.

It's a bit of a leap of faith to enter this store -- through the Roppongi clothing entrance into the basement -- but once you get there it's worth it. Zara, among other imported yarns, Puppy yarns, some sock yarns -- lovely stuff here. The staff is very kind. I don't think they speak English, but we had no problems communicating with hand gestures and pencils and paper. She even wrote out her own pattern of one of the display shawls.

Some great yarns to be had here, and lots of other craft stuff. Buy the 500 yen member's card to get additional discounts on yarn and everything else.

Stunningly beautiful shop -- glass windows from floor to ceiling, everything arranged impeccably. Mostly beads and buttons, there is nevertheless some beautiful yarn here. Worth going to see just to see it.
