Sit 'n Stitch expanded into knitting about 4 years ago, and they now have a fairly wide selection of yarns, from Cascade 220 to scarf yarns and even qiviut!! A friend says it's a good place to take classes: she's working on her first socks. I find it cramped and crowded, though the staffer who helped me recently was quite friendly and knowledgeable.

I visited one evening when it was incredibly hot, and the a/c wasn't helping at all. The shop is quite small and their selection of yarns seems very limited. The group that gathered for Martini night seemed to be having fun.

This is a no-frills shop, but they have a lot of different yarns, and there are usually some great bargains to be found in the back room.

This is the sole retail shop for Stitches from the Heart, which is a charity providing handmade items for premature babies. The staff is wonderful and friendly; the yarns range from all the TLC Cotton Plus colors to luscious pure alpaca. Whenever I visit there's a group at the big table, having a great time.

This is a small shop, but they have an amazing variety of yarns, particularly hand-dyed. Lisi and her staff are very friendly.
