Miss Tam, So sorry about your parking experience. I've been there many times during the week and was there on the Sat. you posted. I am always able to find a place to park on the square. Yarns Unlimited is on the south side of the square in a multi-tenant mall with a book store, toy store, clothing, etc. -- it's at the back.
Suzanne is a nationally known weaver and been there 20+ years. She is kind, passionate and most helpful. She's very eager in a nice, calm way to help you find what you need for a project.

There is a GIGANTIC parking garage one block south of the square that is free on weekends. It is metered during the weekdays and shouldn't cost you more than 50 cents

This is a fun store to visit for knitters! They have so many selections of yarns to choose from and the best quality you can find. The store is decorated with knitting samples and displays throughout the store to inspire you on your next knitting project. The store has a sitting are where you can knit while you do your shopping. The staff are so friendly and helpful that I may have to sign up for a class or two on my next visit.

This is one of my favorite yarn stores. The staff is extremely friendly, as are the clientele (at least on the day I was there), and the yarn selection is so great, it's almost overwhelming. I was there on a football Saturday. We did find parking on the square.

There are lots of fun knitting projects displayed everywhere. I also felt like the owners are proud to be part of the community, they have maps and other Bloomington info prominently displayed. I look forward to my next visit.

Not a good yarn store for the younger fiber artist. All the workers are very agist and treat college students like shoplifters. Don't expect anybody to talk to you or be friendly. If you do ask for help, they treat you like you're stupid. My friends and I have consistently had bad service there.

If you're in Bloomington and want friendly and helpful service, you're better off going to In a Yarn Basket. They have a better selection and every single worker there is kind and helpful.

It's so obvious that IU student is on a smear campaign against Yarns Unlimited and promoting the other yarn shop in town (how transparent!)--no yarn shop can be that bad, especially one that has thrived for more than 30 years--with a big loyal following.

I agree about IU Student being on a smear campaign. I'm a frequent customer and one only has to go into Yarns Unlimited to know that it's hip, cool and has class. They also have a wonderful selection of yarns and friendly, skillful staff who are always ready to assist. No surprise that IU student is a fan of that other yarn shop.

What a wonderful and inspiring atmosphere Mary Ann and her staff have creative for us knitting addicts!

If I ever need help with selection or a project all I have to do is walk in and ask. Everyone who works there is a master at their craft.

If you are looking for a creative and artsy place to knit then go hang out for awhile. What a fun and relaxing place to be.

(Rarely do I go, and I am there at least once a week, when I don't see satisfied IU students!)
