Thanks you for the help regarding my problem reading the sweater pattern. I enjoy your web site and will continue reading about what's new, etc. We will be moving into our new home in Boerne some time in October (I hope) but we'll be back here for visits. Marie Cox mariehd@chascox.com

This is my all-time favorite yarn store and worth the drive out from Austin, with a wider selection of different types of fiber for spinning than I've seen anywhere else. Soysilk, cotton, hemp, wool/silk blends... And spinning wheels to test drive, and weaving supplies and looms...plus yarns of all types and colors. There's also a spin-in the first Saturday of each month, where you bring your spinning wheel or spindle and learn new techniques.

This is a most charming shop with a very gracious, knowledgeable owner. There is fantastic yarn to choose from (my favorite is Susan's own hand-dyed worsted -- her colors are to "dye" for). The trip to the shop goes through lovely countryside, and the town of Paige is quaint and has a bar and grill with the best hamburgers I've had in ages. The yarn is displayed beautifully -- no clutter, just bins of glorious color and fiber -- and the feeling is wide open but at the same time homey. Models abound, and there is a great big table in the middle of the shop just waiting for you to sit down and knit. I highly recommend a trip to Paige to visit Susan and the bunnies!

Yarnorama is an hour's drive from my house, but worth the time! If you pass the Whoop Stop on Hwy 21, you're just about there. It's on the way to Austin for us, so it's a nice place to stretch your legs and feed your fiber addition. Two big areas in the shop, the right side is devoted to fiber, weaving, and spinning. The left has prepared yarn, books, hooks and needles. When Sherwood Forest Faire is in session, be sure to make a stop at Yarnorama.

I found this yarn shop when my daughter (also a knitter/crocheter) had a volleyball game in giddings! I loved it; lots of wonderful yarns and very nice and friendly. Overall is great!

Have been hearing about Yarnorama for several years......but today was my first trip there......it is amazing. And the lady on duty was very knowledgeable and friendly, it seemd like she wanted to show us the whole shop and explain everything. It was great, my friend and I had a plesant couple hours there.....and we will be back !
