Went in June 2013. Ashley waited on me. She was very sweet and helpful. No huge discounts on most things, but OK on a few. Wide selection. I was brought in by the "Outlet" and agree, it is not a classic outlet, but it does offer classes and some discounted seconds. I would go again based on the merchandise I saw and prices, and Ashley was very nice. I would not go to any shop where the proprietor was rude.

What a sad experience, I will never go to this store again, the owner is so unpleasant and not at all helpful, is someone making her work that store--she needs to close and go home.
I tried to give her a break, maybe she had a bad day, I was stupid enough to go back a second time --wow worse then the first time I don't think she will be in business long!!

I've been shopping in this store for a long time. However, under the present managment I have noticed both good and not-so-good changes. The store is messy; the owner aloof and rude to some patrons. At first I thought it was just me and that I was being overly critical, then I began hearing about rude comments made to the shoppers. The Yarn Outlet is no longer an outlet store. The owner has upgraded her stock...and the prices to go with it. When asked why they still call themselves an outlet they say it brings in more patrons. But in my way of thinking, it is misleading. I stopped going there because of the rudeness always shown my husband when he comes with me. We have spend hundreds, probably thousands of dollars there because I am a professional knitter, but no more. We simply felt it wasn't appreciated. I'd rather spend my money in some of the nicer, more upscale stores if I am going to spend the kind of money this store is charging.

This store is a bit of a mess. The lights are out half of the time. The staff is never really around. And it just feels dirty. I only go in to this store because they have the cheapest needles in town.

I've been going to this shop for years, under different management. It's evolved since it first opened, changing from discount yarns, close outs, and mill ends to a more regular LYS. I've loved this shop in both it's incarnations, though.
They seem to always have sweater quantities and amounts for larger projects, and their bag sale is downright dangerous (for my wallet and storage space) :)
Both owners, including the new one, have been kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable.

They have a nice variety of classes for both knit and crochet, which is wonderful, because some shops seem to turn up their nose at our sister-art (crochet).

Very well organized, and the staff doesn't mind me puttering around for the perfect yarn, but are always ready to answer any questions. If they haven't personally worked with a yarn, they often have customer anecdotes about how it works up (pilly, washes well, this colorway pools or flashes, etc.).

I wish the lighting were a wee bit better, and that it wasn't so quiet here (maybe some music?). The shop is a bit cavernous, and seems to swallow any sound. It can get spooky, lol. Still, I always look forward to visiting, and can count on two fingers the times I've left without purchasing anything ;)

This is the drop off point for Pine Ridge Reservation and Wounded Warrior item donations, which is just wonderful. I love that they are so involved with helping and healing others with handmade items.

This shop has been getting new yarn shipments and patterns almost daily. They have a wide selection of various prices yarns starting at $1.00. Yarns you don't usually find in big box and chain stores. Usually carry enough of each yarn to make a sweater or large project. They don't currently carry spinning supplies.

They open at 10 am M - Sat and closed Sunday.

Friendly staff, classes and drop-off point for knitted and crocheted items for Pine Ridge Reservation.

Visited this store in September, sounds like they have been under management for 2 months and are working on getting their groove on. The store is plentiful in basic staple yarns. The shopkeepers are friendly too! It's a large store and there's a LOT of yarn.
