I thought the staff at this store were very unfriendly.

Super rude service. One lady told me they didn't have the yarn I was looking for, so I asked if they carried any roving and she said that they didn't carry that either. Then another lady piped up and said yes we do it's right here! And the first lady followed up with - well it's for needle felting, in a very condescending way! Guess what, that's what I was going to use it for!

I have a warm spot in my heart for this store...it's where I learned to knit many years ago. They welcomed me with open arms (after having bad experiences with other yarn shops in the Dallas area back then) and have always been there to listen, coach, and support my efforts. I've taken several classes there and I'm always greeted with a smile especially from Jackie (the owner) and Alyssa (the Knitting Fairy). I was amazed at the negative reviews made by mandijb and Kaytea as I've always enjoyed my visits to the store and have never been rudely treated. Just wanted to set the record straight.

I ve visited this location and the girls are very welcoming, I was helped with my many questions about a cables scarf, about the amount of yarn, how many stitches and such.. also I felt encouraged enough to try something other than a scarf, and I finished a very cute girl dress from dhe knittingfairy zine... got me some selfstriping yarn and finished some hats...overall clean/cozy place... I live kind of far but I want to visit again soon!

Since it has reopened think I'll visit again. I too experienced super rude service .Funny thing is I was warned about the shop. I'm a fan of the knitting Fairy too. No one even spoke to me for some reason. I believe in second chances.

Yarn and Stitches is under new ownership and is a completely different store! Karen & Hope have revamped the inventory and created a very helpful and friendly environment. The new yarns include Manos and Blue Heron. They are also now carrying the Knitpicks interchangeable needles in addition to Addis, Crystal Palace, and Bryspun.

To me, the greatest change is the willingness to help anyone who walks into the shop. I doesn't matter where the yarn was purchased, there is always someone to assist with your project.

Yarn and Stitches is a wonderful place to buy all your yarn supplies. Hope and Karen are very helpful and friendly, as is all the staff. You can get help with anything anytime, all are willing to help no matter what your level. You can come and hang out to knit anytime. They offer many classes and workshops.. Check out their website. I love to come here before work or at my lunch time. It is such an awesome shop. Stop by and check them out, it's a happening place.

Yarn & Stitches is my 2nd home. The store is under new management and it has been so much fun to see all of the new yarns, needles and accessories. Hope and Karen, the new owners, have worked very hard to revamp and to make everyone feel welcome. It is a great place to purchase yarn and to to get help with ongoing projects. The classes are fun and there is a nice sense of camaraderie among the participants. Give Yarn and Stitches another shot. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

We called the store because we couldn't find it. She gave us directions and even opened a little bit early for us. I found her to be friendly and she offered to wind my yarn for me.
