Just got this e-mail from owner to her mailing list.
Spring is all about new beginnings. I want to reach out to every one of my customers and thank you all for being there for me and helping me to create the store and facilitate bringing the knitting community together.
I want you to know that I am not leaving and will still be here to help you, but after five years now, the store must close so that I can move on, branching out in exciting new directions.
I will keep you posted through my blog and email and you will be pleased to know that I will still be involved in Knit Night, planning some knitting workshops, and bringing trunk shows and yarn sales to Durango

Yarn Durango was closed for a short time this spring, but reopened under new ownership in July. They offer classes, two knit nights and a spinning night.
