a lot of yarn here!! they have very good sales a few times a year as well.

Despite a huge selection, I find myself uninspired and frequently leaving without much. Some of the staff are very nice, but several seem to be a bit devoid of humour and personality, which leaves me not wanting to return.

Do you carry angora yarns ? I am interested in white, yellow or tones of brown. Would be glad to see a list of special yarns you carry. Thanks

Lots of great yarn, and the warehouse sales are pretty good. They don't really seem to like under 30s (perhaps even under 40s) though, particularly one or two ladies.
My FMIL gets good service there though, and likes having a yarn store close to her home.

I have to agree with erinknits and cinderellie. I have gone to Wool-Tyme more than ten times, always hoping for a better experience, and it never seems to get any better. I'm under 40 and I definitely feel that the salespeople have always been a little short with me. I don't know why--I buy something every time I'm there. I really just have to stop. There are better places to spend money in this town, and they seem to *enjoy* having younger people there.

I agree about the staff. I am in my 50's and have been going for years. The main reason I go is for the large selection and parking.
I find the staff to be unwelcoming and almost feel as if I am interrupting them just by being in the store.
They definitely need more friendly salespeople and a couple of younger ones would definitely help.

I live in WDC and everytime I visit Ottawa, visit this store!

So much yarn, which was super, but it seemed like a lot of it was acrylic...admittedly, there was some nice acrylic, but it still seemed like a lot of cheap yarn. There was a good amount of higher quality yarn as well. They were in the middle of expanding, which was exciting but made everything a bit chaotic. I loved the sale room!
I didn't talk to the staff much, they didn't approach me and I didn't have any questions. The lady at the cash didn't really seemed all that pleased to help me, so I guess I'd agree with the previous reviews - I'm in my 20s.

Looking for Berroco Mosaic Delicate Trellis. Do you carry this.

Not friendly at all. My daughter who is in her 20's gets no respect or help there. They also do not offer a winder for the hanks, I don't expect it done for me but the best they could offer was to sell me a winder. I live and travel on a boat so I have no space for a winder. I also have left hand limitations from a stroke and winding by hand is onerous. They do have a just OK selection. I asked about a merino blend in fingering specifically from Indigo Dragonfly. All the CSR heard was Indigo and wanted to talk colour. It is certainly not the place to go if you are an enthusiastic knitter. YAWN

I agree with comments above: lots and lots of yarn, but no smile to greet us.
