Okay, I know this is out of your way. But next time you have an afternoon free, take a drive into the country and visit Carlton. It's a lovely little town with lots more to offer than just Woodland Woolworks, but then it's hard to pry myself OUT of the store once I'm in. There's an entire room of clearance inventory to sort through. Then another room stock full of just about every yarn a knitter ever would want, along with books and needles and notions and. . . you get the idea. Don't get lost in the yarn fumes and forget to go upstairs. That's where you'll find a selection of spinning wheels, looms, and cones of thread and yarns geared towards weavers, but useful for knitters, too. Want to get serious about knitting lace? Upstairs is where you'll find full cones of Jaggerspun Zephyr. Knit a HUGE circular shawl without worrying about joins! As you can tell, I like this place. And while you're in town, check out the antiques and get a sandwich at the little shop that used to be a gas station. There's even a winery where you can go do some tasting and a spa, too, if you're so inclined. See, now don't you want to take a drive? :)

Dittos on Maxfun's review. Want to add the staff is very helpful & really nice. Cielo Bleu is a newly opened & yummy place to eat too(it's on the main drag thru town). But love this place....worth the drive

Definitely worth a trip through the fields and vineyards of Yamhill County. This may be the best-stocked store I've ever seen, from yarn to notions to serious equipment for spinners and weavers. Make a day out of it and visit the wine tasting room in Carlton!
