Brand new store on Chicago's north side. Great location. You can almost always find a nearby parking space (but don't forget to feed the meters). The space is huge, bright and airy. The yarn selection is phenomenal. You could probably spend hours just looking at all the yarn. The owner, Mandy, is delightful. She will be offering knit AND crochet classes soon. If you live anywhere in or near Chicago - do yourself a favor and check out Windy Knitty. I guarantee you'll come back for more.

I visited this store during the August 2011 Chicago Yarn Crawl and was so impressed with the amazing selection of yarn they have to offer, from well-known high to medium-end brands and locally dyed yarns. The staff was very friendly and helpful when I had a question about the different brands of circular needles. I will absolutely go back again and will recommend it to fellow knitting friends.
