Notes
Very knit Shop is the South Bay premier yarn shop specializing in European yarns, hard to find yarns, books, and ready to wear. We also focus on custom sweater design and custom knitting. Repairs, finishing, special orders; and personalized instruction for both adults and children are also some of our services.
We are continuing the Los Gatos legacy of Mountain Weavers, which did both knitting and weaving. It morphed into Elisabetta specializing in avaunt garde knit and woven wear and continued Mountain Weavers tradition leaning toward a European and high fashion side of knit wear. Eventually the focus was exclusively knitwear. Elisabetta’s protégé and designer, Elena Iourcha, purchased Elisabetta three years ago. Very Knit Shop continues knitting in the same location as Elisabetta, carrying on the knitting tradition of Mountain Weavers. It has never left the hands of its employees and is always passed on to the new knitters who work in the store.
