Is the sister store to Elegant Stitches. Doesn't have the selection of the other store. Not worth the drive I made. They do have a lot of yarn and a table for chatting in the back, but not my styles of yarn. They said they can transfer yarn from the other store.

Tropical is their satelite store, and although I didn't get to go to Elegant stitches, I was quite happy with what I found. The place is a little disorganized, but i still came away with a bunch of sock yarn!

I ordered online from them and they sent me the wrong color (green instead of a color that was described as "woad"--i.e. one of the plants that is the source of blue indigo dye.) They refused to admit they had done anything wrong, and did not offer to make it right. I will never order from them again.

I go there all the time, I find the staff very helpful, not pushy, they leave you alone to browse, they have a huge selection, every time I go I see new yarns. Very pleasant atmosphere. They make you feel very comfortable just to go and sit with your knitting. I love the store
